Dr. Melinda Hill
A native of McAllen, Texas, general practitioner Dr. Melinda Hill has practiced medicine at Northwest Animal Hospital since 1999. Before coming to Northwest, Dr. Hill was a equine and small animal practitioner at Lake Dallas Veterinary Hospital.
A singer and musician, Dr. Hill attended Baylor University, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music in 1992. She went on to attend Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. A member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Association, Dr. Hill’s professional interests include internal medicine and cardiology.
When she is not at the hospital, Dr. Hill can be found singing with various choral groups, playing the French horn and the piano and horseback riding. She and her husband John have two children, Rachel and James, and the family belongs to the First Presbyterian Church of Grapevine. Dr. Hill’s family also includes Maizie, a Collie, and a cat named Rowdy.
